The Program outcomes (Pos), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs) and Course Outcomes are evaluated by the institution and the same are communicated to the students in the formal way of the discussion in the classroom as well as the college notice board. After measuring attainment of POs , PSOs and COs, it has been observed that the strength of the students as well as passing percentage of the students is growing progressively. Besides, students’ progression to the higher studies, that is from Under Graduate to the professional Post Graduate MBA program seems to be increasing consistently and rapidly in the last five years. In a similar way, the ratio of students’ placement is also increasing. The institution took utmost care in measuring the level of attainment of POs, PSOs and COs and followed formal as well as informal mechanism for the measurement in the attainment of the outcomes. The college took feedback from all the stakeholders in this respect and tries to take the required steps accordingly.

Consequently, the College undertook measurement of the POs, PSOs and COs and implemented the mechanism as follows:-
  • The institution followed the Academic Calendar of the affiliating university.
  • All the subject teachers maintained their Teaching Diaries in every academic year.
  • All the subject teachers prepared Semester-Wise evaluation Reports.
  • Internal examination committee analyzed evaluation reports of results.
  • Institute considered Feedback from the Stakeholders for the attainment of PO, PSO and CO.
  • Placement committee took the review of the Students’ Progression to Higher Studies and their Placement.

  • Attainments of COs:

The attainment of COs is calculated by using students evaluation in their academic tests. Attainment levels are finalized at college level and conveyed to Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) through Internal Examination Committee. The attainment level of each CO is computed by setting weights as follows:

    Weight Benchmark
1 Advanced learners are the first category of students. They are the topscorers with above 70% in the tests. In order to further harness these students’ potential, the college provides them with a wider range of repositories, book banks as well as registration facility for online courses. These efforts are further supplemented by facilitating the students’ participation in workshops, seminars and conferences which are organized in the college as well as outside. These students are specially encouraged to experiment and gain practical insights pursuant to their course.
2 Average learners are the second category of students. They are average scorers and are next in sequence with advanced learners. Their scores in the diagnostic test are in the range 45-69%. In order to help these students to upgrade their skills, they are continuously monitored, mentored and guided by their faculty. The students are encouraged to improve their subject knowledge, communication skills, analyzing and discoursal abilities to the level that it is par with the advanced learners.
3 Those students who score less than 45% in their tests fall in the slow learner category of students. These students require more efforts and concentration. They are specially encouraged to develop the initiative which could further boost the morale of these rank slow rankers to the average and advanced learners. Special remedial classes as well as self-paced hands-on exercises are conducted for these students. The faculty dedicates more time and efforts to ensure that these students are actively involved in all academic activities as well as they improve their communication, knowledge and develop an initiative as well as pragmatic insight.

The college has provided different time slots for each category of students for mentoring and guidance. The focus is on face to face interaction with the faculty and the students. Multiple teams of students are formed during the sessions to encourage group discussions, team work and leadership qualities. The faculty also provides clarity of the academic matters and course execution to the students by way of one-to-one questions and answers sessions. Thus, the college aims at the attainment of Program Outcomes (PO), Program Specific Outcomes (PSO) and Course Outcomes (CO) and these are continuously evaluated by the institution.
